Events And Activities
SCC is a hive of activity. Regular groups are expanding, and we’re always introducing new
activities. Whatever you love to do, it’s always more fun when you do it with others.
The Sorrento Savvys is a firm favourite with our over 50's Centre members. A jam-packed social calendar of events and fun experiences will keep you happily on the go.
There are weekly walks, bush hikes, lunches, monthly drinks, dinners in local restaurants and even picnics.
The Savvys visit local attractions, like Heronswood, the McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery, regional galleries, Beleura House and more.
A quarterly program designed by the members will keep you busy updating your calendar so you don’t miss out on any of the upcoming events.
Individual Savvys can take responsibility for planned events and everyone is encouraged to bring new ideas to the group. It’s a sharing and caring environment.
If you want to become a Sorrento Savvy, call Reception on 5984 3360. The cost is just $10 per
year, in addition to the $15 Annual registration fee.
As a Savvy Member, you’ll receive a quarterly e-newsletter to advise you about upcoming activities.

NEW! Flowers by Zac
It is with great excitement that we invite all flower lovers to a series of 8 Workshops where we will learn how to get the best out of flowers. Flower prices are set to increase even more, so it is important to learn things like how to spot old flowers when you are out and about purchasing flowers, how to condition flowers, and finally how to arrange flowers to show them off best.
Fun, informal sessions where Zac demonstrates what is being achieved that session, and then you get to play with flowers. Everything you need will be ready and waiting at your table.
Please bring along a carton / box (40cm x 40cm minimum) and two old towels to each session. We will pack your creation carefully to take home in the box and secure it with towels.
